This May, TopHat partnered with the Photographer’s Gallery in honour of the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize 2017 to celebrate the exhibition’s 20th anniversary and name the winner for this year’s prize. TopHat provided show stopping canapés and bowl food for 600 guests who travelled far and wide to preview the nominees’ contemporary photography at the Central London venue.
The Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize was awarded to an exceptional artist last week at the Photographer’s Gallery; Dana Lixenburg.
TopHat presented a few of their own masterpieces on the night; seared sea trout on colcannon, tender stem broccoli and beurre blanc and pressed Agria potatoes, carrot and rosemary puree with raw heritage carrots.
Lixenberg was chosen from four other wonderfully talented finalists; Sophie Calle, Awoiska van der Molen, Taiyo Onorato and Nico Krebs, whose work will remain within the London gallery until 11 th June, after which the works will move on to MMK in Frankfurt, Germany and Aperture in New York.
TopHat too were honoured to have been a part of the special night dedicated to celebrate innovative photographic talents from all around the world. Our team appreciate the importance of artistry and aestheticism and were pleased to present their delicately designed canapés in support of the art surrounding them.
As of June 2017 TopHat have now been appointed as one of the venue’s preferred caterers and are very excited about working with the gallery. The event spaces are contemporary and stimulating, not to mention located perfectly for accessibility. With state of the art galleries and studio space for hire, the venue is versatile, making it suitable for anything from product launches to corporate dinners.
